Five Random Things About Married at First Sight’s Austin Hurd

Fans of Lifetime’s ‘Married at First Sight’, fell in love with the adorable quirkiness of Austin Hurd and Jessica Studer. The two singles are one of five couples that were matched on Season 10 of the hit reality show produced by Kinetic Content.

The couple chose to stay married on ‘Decision Day’ and fans have been able to watch their love story continue on the spinoff, ‘Married at First Sight Couples Cam’, airing Thursdays on Lifetime.

Austin and Jessica recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary with the time-old tradition of eating their (admittedly, not so tasty) cake top.

The Washington D.C. couple has moved their relationship forward by looking for a (non-haunted) house and trying their hand at parenting an adorable adopted, energetic dog named Rex.

On the couples’ cam finale, Jess announced she’s making the official name change from Studer to Hurd. Yay!!!

Now let’s learn five things you didn’t know about Austin.

Compare yourself to a fictional character.

One of my favorite books and shows was Game of Thrones.  I know it is for a lot of people, but reading and watching it, I always said I would be Ned Stark.  I would be the person loyal and protective over their family, out trying to do the right thing. But yeah, I would die the first season.

What food do you crave most often?

Tacos, definitely tacos. Or no…burritos, definitely burritos!

What is the best way to spend a rainy day?

I do find rainy days soothing, at times.  A day watching movies and TV shows, or just sleeping in.

Name your favorite musician.

I like music, but its hard to come up with my favorite.  I have good memories of musicians from Bone Thugs and Harmony to Incubus. Maybe some Katy Perry in there too.

If you could keep only three possessions, what would they be?

Very tough question. First would be a good family photo.

Second would be a baseball to remind me of those memories.

Third would be the N64 I had as a kid. I had fun playing it with my sister and my best friend Paul.

Here is a sixth thing…today Austin is celebrating his birthday. So let’s send him our best wishes and hope he gets some fresh cake!
